Social Climate

Cantabria is characterised by a favourable social climate, ensured by means of a ‘social partnership agreement' with syndicates, business owners and the Regional Government, providing a stable framework that has already been consolidated over the years.

This agreement has been in place since 1996 with the aim of improving the competitiveness of Cantabria's companies while favouring the creation of an environment characterised by social stability, economic growth and job creation. As a result of this pact, labour disputes have been reduced to an insignificant number in recent years.
